Actors: Jóhann Kristófer Stefánsson, Jón Gunnar Stefánsson, Stefán Jónsson, Elma Lísa Gunnarsdóttir, Baldvin Halldórsson Music: Hallur Ingólfsson THE STORY: The main character is a young boy living in the country with his parents and a younger brother. The boy has a secret, He knows a few magic tricks that come handy when he has to escape his harsh reality, but nobody knows this but him. The Magician is about the dreamworl of children, where they run when they don't have a choice to overcome their everyday problems. TÓNLISTIN: The Magician is a very visual strong film with little talk. The music and the soundscape was therefore very important. Me and Reynir decided early on to use the music to create an athmosphere of "bad idea" and then turn it over into something magical as the magic tricks happen. |
